Last summer in Maine

After a summer spent in Costa Rica, along with a week spent in Colorado, it was time to enjoy the last precious summer I would have in Maine before my final year of school started.

Why was it my last summer in Maine, my home state, you ask?

It is because my boyfriend and best friend John had gotten a job at Seagate in Colorado. We had been dating for about 4 years at this point, and had been friends since 2002 (for ten years!). It was time I moved in with him, and we started a life together. So, knowing I would be Colorado bound in a matter of months, I soaked in the Maine life as best as I could, Ayuh, dey-ah.

My Parents visited for a day and we went to one of my favorite Maine places, Acadia National Park.

One afternoon in New Gloucester I took some photos of wildlife at my parents house.

Back in Old Town before school started, I went with my roommate Nichole and two other friends Manda and Logan adventuring down a trail near some train tracks.

It's not an outing with my friends without a fake killing photo. On a side note, now that I've taken a kickboxing class, I realize my stance here is awful.

One pretend death scene was not enough. Here Nichole is the villain.
She got away!

The last thing we enjoyed about a Maine summer (along with flying squirrels, that I wasn't able to get a picture of) was this guy visiting our bird/squirrel feeder.
Oh, hi there. This is for me, right?
