Maine winter brought many things this year. The end to my last Fall semester of college, the start of my final and most challenging semester at UMaine, and the end of the world, according to the Mayan calendar.
Nichole, Katie and I went out on a few occasions to Sunkhaze wildlife refuge (http://www.sunkhaze.org/) to get some winter photos.

| This photo was actually taken at Whittier farm near UMaine |

| A Cardinal by our house. |
 |
| We had a few large snow storms this year. Each of them one of our roommates was conveniently never around for. My biggest regret is not burying her car in as much snow as possible. |

| While Emily gives up. Too much snow. |
 |
| I think Nichole won. |
 |
| Nichole's dad gave her a snowblower....but we couldn't get it started. = ( |
Our reaction to not getting the snow blower started was to sulk.
Finally, after several hours, we had the driveway cleared.
As mentioned before, this was a busy semester for all of us. Emily and I spent a lot of time in the library, and even met up there from time to time. Here we gave up on the library to study in the Union, where we could eat while we worked.
With finals week, my schedule board got pretty full. I didn't add it on here, but I was working too.

| The bear in Nutting was decorated for Christmas! |
With finals over, our friends got together for a tea party to celebrate the end of the world.
 |
| Snacks for the occasion. |
We agreed to all dress our best for the event, and my friend Lauryl straightened my hair for me.

| Getting everyone in front of our Christmas tree for a group photo. |
 |
| This was a test photo to check lighting and stuff. I made faces. |
 |
| Happy end of the World! |
 |
| The "Wouldbe" girls strike a pose. (We named our house Wouldbe, because when we first saw it, we didn't think we'd be lucky enough to get it!) |
Nichole and Katie had finally finished their first rough draft of their story, and took advantage of this time to celebrate their victory.
We had a great winter, and happily it was not the end of the world.
